Background
Stephan grew up in Austria at the intersection of technology and the arts, and started designing and building software at twelve. By his early twenties he had founded a digital agency, helped launch one of the first social networks in Austria, lectured computer science at one of Austria's leading technology universities, and graduated with honors with a master's thesis on natural language processing.
Over 18 years at Red Bull he helped transform one of the world's most iconic sports brands into a global digital platform, leading teams of 120+ engineers, designers and product managers, and led a strategic collaboration with Apple, Google, Microsoft and Amazon pioneering new technology innovations.
Born and raised in Austria and living in California since 2012, he is an investor and advisor to multiple SaaS, AI and hardware startups, and an avid surfer, skier and sports enthusiast with a passion for technology, engineering excellence and design.
